The Ministry of Youth and Sports in Ghana released a statement on January 4, 2024, outlining the necessary requirements for Ghanaians planning to travel by road to the highly anticipated 2023 CAF Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d'Ivoire:

THE OUTLINED REQUIREMENTS ARE AS FOLLOWS

  1. 1.Passport/Ghana Card
  2. 2.Yellow Fever Card
  3. 3. Meningitis Vaccination

These conditions are essential for Ghanaian football fans intending to support their nation during the prestigious tournament.

Alongside these border crossing prerequisites, the Ministry shared the initial match schedules involving the Black Stars:


  • Ghana vs Cape Verde

    • Date: Sunday, January 14
    • Time: 8:00 pm
    • Venue: Stade Félix Houphouët-Boigny
  • Egypt vs Ghana

    • Date: Thursday, January 18
    • Time: 8:00 pm
    • Venue: Stade Félix Houphouët-Boigny
  • Mozambique vs Ghana

    • Date: Monday, January 22
    • Time: 8:00 pm
    • Venue: Olympic Stadium of Ebimpé

The Ministry stressed the importance of Ghanaian support for the Black Stars and conveyed good wishes to all citizens traveling for the tournament, hoping for a safe and exciting football expedition.
