Former Minister of Education, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, has affirmed her willingness and dedication to collaborate with the opposition National Democratic Party (NDC) flagbearer, John Mahama, in the upcoming general elections.
Prof Opoku-Agyemang stressed her commitment to serving Ghana with integrity, dignity, hard work, and patriotism, following her nomination as the running mate to the former President by the National Executive Committee (NEC) and Council of Elders of the NDC during a meeting on Thursday, March 7.
The General Secretary of the NDC, Fifi Fiavi Kwettey, highlighted that Prof Opoku-Agyeman's nomination reflects the party's firm commitment to promoting inclusivity, diversity, and women's empowerment in leadership roles.
In response to her nomination, Prof Opoku-Agyemang expressed gratitude to the NDC Council of Elders and the NEC for their strong support and endorsement. She acknowledged the honor of being selected as the Running Mate to His Excellency John Dramani Mahama and praised his consistent commitment to inclusivity and innovation.
Prof Opoku-Agyemang expressed optimism about Mr Mahama's ability to provide the visionary and inclusive leadership that Ghana urgently requires. She pledged her full dedication to the task and highlighted the NDC's steadfast commitment to working tirelessly for Ghana's collective future.
