The incident took place at Ohene-Nkwata near Nobewam, a village in the Ejisu-Juaben Municipality of the Ashanti Region, situated along the Kumasi-Accra Highway. The collision included two Toyota Land Cruisers, a Mercedes Benz car, and a Sprinter Benz bus, with eight individuals involved, four of whom sustained severe injuries. Samira Bawumia is reported to be unharmed, and the deceased, who was part of her entourage, is yet to be identified. The convoy was en route to the Ashanti Region at the time of the accident.
